Blockchain tier 1 Sui has announced a partnership and collaboration with banking service provider Revolut. According to a press release shared with Cryptonews, the partnership aims to increase awareness and adoption of blockchain technology among Revolut’s 40 million customers worldwide. It also wants to open up “new opportunities for Sui’s growth, especially across Europe.”
Sui to enter Revolut Learn
As part of the partnership, Sui will use Revolut Learn and its educational content to educate a “relatively untapped” global audience of potential future cryptocurrency users at scale .
Participants will learn about SUI ‘s underlying technology and growing ecosystem. The partnership will especially draw in new users who want to learn about the unique opportunities that blockchain technology offers.
The immediate outreach to a huge international audience is expected to “help Sui maintain its dizzying growth trajectory,” the announcement reads. In addition, it will support the democratization of access to cryptocurrency information and the use of cutting-edge technology.
Per Greg Siourounis, managing director of the Sui Foundation, he said: “by joining forces with Revolut, we have the opportunity to introduce millions of users to Sui, […] which provides a technological foundation that will enable companies to create solutions that work and empower individuals to gain seamless access to these products and services.”
Kotryna Baldovskaja, Crypto Global Business Development Manager at Revolut, added that by integrating Sui’s educational content with Revolut Learn, “we want to equip our users with knowledge about one of the most impressive technological breakthroughs we’ve seen in crypto, and the myriad opportunities that lie within the Sui ecosystem.”
More than $700 million in TVL
Meanwhile, Sui recently reported, an increase in Total Value Locked (TVL) crossing the $700 million threshold.
According to DeFiLlam , as of March 27, the value of TVL is $703 million. There has been significant growth since the end of last year. As of December 31, 2023, the level was only $212.88 million.
Meanwhile, the SUI token has risen almost 15% in the past 24 hours. At the time of this writing, its price is $2.07. Its price has risen by 30% in a month. As for Revolut, earlier this month the British fintech partnered with popular cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask to launch Revolut Ramp for users in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA).
Revolut Ramp was found to allow users to get started in seconds. Users can then buy new coins directly into their MetaMask wallets using 18 fiat currencies or their bank cards.
