Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced in a Nov. 26 X post that the cryptocurrency company will donate an additional $25 million to the Fairshake PAC following the 2024 U.S. election. Ripple previously donated an estimated $50 million to the PAC to support digital asset-friendly election candidates across the U.S.
“Fairshake is the most successful multi-candidate, bipartisan Super PAC in American history,” Ripple – Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said in a Nov. 26 post on X. “The choice of pro-crypto, pro-growth and pro-innovation candidates is clear, and to keep the momentum going, Ripple is contributing another $25 million to Fairshake.”
The bipartisan cryptocurrency collective is known for its broad bipartisan support, raising more than $200 million in the 2023-2024 election cycle. A 2024 report by the nonprofit organization Public Citizen found that cryptocurrency supporters donated nearly half of all corporate money to this year’s elections.
Fairshake scored several victories this year when a number of pro-crypto political candidates were elected to office, and most of the cryptocurrency-friendly candidates he supported won their seats.
Earlier this month, the crypto super PAC has $78 million ready to deploy ahead of the 2026 US by-election.
“Contributing to Fairshake is just one important part of achieving our ultimate goal of clear regulations governing the cryptocurrency industry, while protecting consumers and enabling entrepreneurs to build with confidence,” a16z founder Chris Dixon said in a November 4 announcement revealing the company’s latest multi-million dollar donation.
But the most significant election for digital assets took place on November 6, when newly-elected President Donald Trump surpassed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, securing the Oval Office.
Trump, who recently launched his family’s cryptocurrency platform World Liberty Financial, has long advocated for the establishment of a digital asset-friendly regulatory framework for the entire blockchain sector.
