With the release of Revolut Ramp, banking service provider Revolut has revealed it has joined forces with popular cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask. According to a press release shared by Cryptonews, users in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA) can now use Revolut Ramp. The company says the feature helps it “double down on its involvement in the cryptocurrency world.”
Start using in seconds
Revolut Ramp has revealed that it allows users to get started in seconds. Users can then buy new coins directly into their MetaMask wallets . Customers can also pay with a Visa or Mastercard bank card or use their fiat currency balance (18 currencies in their Revolut account).
“Revolut’s experience in processing millions of dollars worth of fiat transactions on a daily basis , along with its popular crypto product, makes it an ideal candidate to simplify the process and enter the web3 world.”
Revolut Ramp has an integrated Know Your Customer(KYC) system. It stated that customers who do not use Revolut can do so “in just a few minutes.” The identity verification process of Revolut’s 40 million users uses the same infrastructure.
However, Revolut users can skip all verification checks, as the company can rely on existing verification in its app.
Customers can buy more than twenty different tokens through the app or the website. When a MetaMask user selects the “Buy” option in the wallet, Revolut will be the best provider when it comes to credit or debit payment methods. Users will be redirected to the company’s payment flow when they select Revolut.
“This ensures a high success rate for transactions carried out in the Revolut ecosystem and low fees for all customers,” said Mazen Eljundi, global business director for Crypto at Revolut.
