The Winklevoss brothers-backed non-league soccer club Real Bedford FC (RBFC), based in the UK, has made a significant Bitcoin acquisition. Peter McCormack, the club’s founder and prominent cryptocurrency podcaster, revealed that RBFC has acquired $4.5 million worth of Bitcoins.
RBFC currently holds 82.7 Bitcoins worth $5.37 million, purchased at an average price of $64,925 per Bitcoin. This strategic investment is in line with McCormack’s vision of using digital assets to support the club’s ambitious climb up the soccer rankings.

His experience in cryptocurrencies and his network in the crypto community, including support from Winklevoss Capital, provide a strong foundation for this mission. McCormack said 15.8 Bitcoin is earmarked for soccer-related expenses, with the remainder safely stored in the club’s vault.
In April, Winklevoss Capital, an investment firm founded by twin brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, invested $4.5 million in RBFC. Following the investment, both Winklevoss brothers are co-owners of RBFC alongside McCormack.
