Apex Group will list Ethereum and Solana on the SIX Swiss Exchange next week.

Apex Group and Figment Europe Ltd, institutional staking infrastructure companies, are set to launch two new exchange traded products(ETPs) on the SIX Swiss Exchange on March 12.

Following the ETP launch, “Figment Ethereum Plus Staking Rewards” will be traded under the exchange symbol “ETHF,” while “Figment Solana Plus Staking Rewards” will be traded under the exchange symbol “SOLF.”

The Ethereum and Solana ETP platforms will track the MarketVector index. The index uses Figment’s reward indexing capability to track the behavior of ETH prices and the staking rewards earned by the products.

“The popularity and interest in ETH and SOL has grown significantly over the past few months,” – said Josh Deems, head of institutional business development at Figment, adding: “However, it is still difficult for institutions to buy cryptocurrencies and invest directly. ETP platforms will help make betting rewards more accessible to a wide audience, and we at Figment are proud that Apex and Issuance.Swiss have chosen Figment to be part of this development.”

Crypto ETP versus ETF – what’s the difference?

According to CoinShares, a European asset manager specializing in digital assets, in the U.S. the term “ETF” has become the default term for all exchange traded products that aim to replicate the performance of an underlying asset or benchmark.

“In Europe, due to specific fund regulations, the term “ETF” cannot be used for individual assets such as bitcoin, gold or smaller baskets of assets. This regulatory distinction means that when European investors look for a ‘crypto ETF,’ they should instead look for a ‘crypto ETP,'” CoinShares explains on its website.
